Meet Metfan5695

Greetings fellow SOVA members! I'm Metfan5695 and I want to help get back our voice actors! I was like, three when the show first aired. It had a great storyline, great voice acting, well actually the show had great everything. I stopped watching it in its third season, and I've regretted it ever since. One day I was flipping through the channels and i stumbled upon the title "Pokemon." Once I saw the title, all the memories of watching the show and when I was younger came back and I decided to check it out. But to my surprise the voices were different, and I immediately changed the channel. I also wondered what happened to Misty, but that's another story. Anyway, ever since that day I became hooked on the show and what I missed. I also took a great interest of what happened to the voice actors. So I searched online about the voice actors and became outraged that they changed them. Even though it was just the voices, the show wasn't as interesting or enjoyable as it used to be. You know how there is a song you like and you want to listen to the original artist who sings it, but it was re-done by someone else and its, well, bad? That's what this was like. No, that's what this IS like. I want the voice actors back and I want them NOW! And I'm not gonna take it anymore! I joined SOVA because they feel the same way. No, beacuse WE feel the same way. We are going to do whatever it takes to get the voice actors back, and no one is gonna stop us!

By the way, I feel bad that you stopped watching Pokemon in Johto. So that means you must've missed lots of episodes with the original cast. Well, if you remember what season you left off, perhaps I could help you get caught up? Unless of course, you're already caught up by now, lol. ^^

Thanks you guys for your comments, I promise I will try my best to further our cause. And Lapras87, how did you know I live in NY? Did you guess from the name? Heh, anyway, I am in the process of catching up on what I missed, and if I need any help I'll let you know. I'll also try to make posts to help people see what we are fighting for. I promise I won't let SOVA down!

I live in the the NY area. I know who the Mets are. It's easy to tell my your screenname that you live in the NY area. My dad can't stop watching those Mets on the CW11. He wastes about 2% of my DVR everyday on something on SNY or YES or CW11 (which disappoints me because I record all of my shows that are on when I'm at school). You might like him (but he's with the FBI, so watch out).

School work is definately a priority. Make sure that you get it done and done right! But even you just being here adds moral support to the cause. Just do what you can. ^^

I'm still getting around SOVA so can someone explain to me what the 'projects' are that you do?

Sure!

The pasta (noodle) project is where we either A) Buy pasta at the store and ship it to Pokémon USA or B) We either buy pasta or we send money to PokemonTrainerLisa and she will either send it on to Pokémon USA with our big batch or she'll buy the pasta herself to send with the money. This is to represent the last episode dubbed with the original voice actors titled "Pasta La Vista".

The Poké Ball project is where you buy foam balls and paint them like Poké Balls with little messages that say either "Save Our Voice Actors" or something like that and ship them to Pokémon USA.

Wow that's a great idea! When will the projects go into effect?

These projects have been going on for quite some time, and will stop whenever it's necessary.

I'll try my best to recruit new members for SOVA, but I'm not sure how to come of it. Anyway, can someone send me the link to Mewtwo Returns? I really want to see it.

Dear members of SOVA, I have been a member for about three months and have been thinking hard about this decision. It's not that I have no faith in SOVA; I have undeniable faith in all of you and foresee success. I also highly believe in SOVA's intentions. It's just that I feel I have not done enough as a member and therefore, I am leaving SOVA. This may sound corny but, it's not you, it's me. I will still continue to support SOVA in any way I can and also may try to recruit new members. This was a very hard decision, but I cannot continue to be a part of something that I take no part in. Oh, and before I joined SOVA, I always thought that I could never be appreciated or tolerated for, well, being me. You changed that for me. When I first joined and read the first comment on my introduction and continued to read began to feel...welcomed. I thank you for that. Yeah, don't leave. I mean no one in SOVA is more or less important than the next person. Every single member is as equally important as the next member. Even if you don't think that you've done a lot for SOVA, that's no reason to leave. Just you being here shows support. I hope that you reconsider your decision. It's sad to see someone go when they leave on these conditions. You know, when I joined SOVA back in November, I didn't think I did a lot at all, especially during that time. But my return in March showed that I was still committed to SOVA because not only did I donate to the pasta project, but I've also sent out numerous letters and emails. But when I joined SOVA, I really only planned more less bitching about the new voice actors and just helping out here and there, but look at me now. I'm an admin and a leader! Just give it some time and you might just find the perfect way to help out that really shines!
