| Since Tommy isn't very good with working on consoles, I figured I'd make a thread about that stuff.
Mainly, I'm familiar with the following: Gameboy Color Gameboy Advance (SP) Nintendo DS Lite Nintendo Wii Nintendo GameCube Playstation (2)
Other consoles like the Xbox I'm a little shaky on so I'll let other people help you out.

| OK, here's something for you...
Recently, I was playing my copy of "Lunar; Silver Star Story" on my PS2. During one of the cutscenes which blends both CG and anime, it froze up and wouldn't keep going... and this game has no safeguards for that.
I thought I was sunk... but then I dug out my old PS1 and tried it there. It skipped at bit at the part, but it made it all the way through. I'm almost at the end now (using PS2 again) and it hasn't had any other problems, even with other blended cutscenes that are way more dynamic. I wondered if maybe it was the console and not the game...
I wrote to a "fix my Playstation".com person, but he said that the game disc was scratched... but I have kept it very clean, and have buffed out every scratch, and the game still freezes at that scene on my PS2 (and not my PS1). What in the world is going on here?

| I've had it for about three years, and I bought it used.
The thing is, it works just fine with everything else.

| I had a issue with my ds lite with the headphone sound (i traded it in for a phat ds). And guitar hero III froze up on my ps2 once. And Lunar Silver Star Story has issues with the SCPH 30001 ps2. try using a different model ps2 like a scph 79001 ps2. | |

| Is your disc scratched up? My disc was damaged and if my cousin didn't block the disc sensors on my slim PS2, I wouldn't be able to play my CD-R backup of Final Fantasy VII Disc 2. Ben | |

| Yeah, I would think that something is up with your disc reader. I had a game that did that to me once, I fixed it, but I don't remember how. =/ | |

Ben Not especially; I buffed out all the visible scratches and it looks fine.

| Only the Greatest Hits version of the PSX port of the Super Famicom game, Final Fantasy V (Final Fantasy Anthology) will work on a PS2. I had to make a CD-R copy of my brother's Greatest Hits copy for me to play it. I had bought a used copy of the original release and the in-game menus were glitchy on it. Ben | |

| Yes, so some psx games have issues on a ps2. If you have a psx, just use that. | |

| The newer PS3s suck at backwards compatibility. Unlike the older PS3s, the newer PS3s use emulators to emulate the PS2 and PSOne. The older PS3s have PS2 and PSOne chips on the motherboards. Ben | |

| From what I heard, at E3, Sony doesn't really care about the PS3, so they dropped out of the conole wars. =/ | |

| A gamestop worker told me that. And if you have a handheld that has a rechargeable battery (gbasp, ds, psp, etc.) and it wont hold a charge, REPLACE THE BATTERY! (if the battery on a handheld dies) | |
